Tammy Lowe

Saturday
6:30 p.m.

Tammy grew up in Marshall, Illinois, and began singing as a youngster.  From 1982-1984, she was a charter member of the group associated with Youth for Christ / Campus Life, “New Covenant,” who sang for various churches and functions.  In 1991, she began singing at karaoke shows while living in Florida, which renewed her love for performing.  Tammy continued to perform at karaoke shows and contests after moving back into the Wabash Valley area in 1994.  In addition, she ran karaoke shows for several years in various Marshall, IL, establishments.  From 2004 to 2008, transitioning from karaoke to performing live, Tammy became a charter member of the Pix & Stix Band, performing lead and backup vocals with four other band members.  Currently, she is back to singing karaoke three nights a week and actively searching for new band-mates!

Tammy likes all types of music, but the country genre seems to be a favorite amongst her listeners.  While the band performed a mixture of 70s and 80s Classic Rock and New Country, Tammy’s solo shows are a contrast to the band’s show with little overlap and feature her own renderings of songs performed by top female artists ranging from Patsy Cline to Carrie Underwood.  Once in awhile, she might sneak in a pop 80s song or something from the 60s just to keep her audience guessing!

Tammy continues to reside in Marshall.  She loves performing publicly, especially for the hometown folks, and enjoys chatting with her supporters after her show.  She frequently travels to Nashville to cultivate contacts with songwriters and performers and always heads to Tootsies to make an appearance on the downstairs stage around closing time.  She also looks forward to working on another project in the recording studio in the near future!  For booking information or just to say hello, you can contact Tammy via email at tammysings@aol.com.
